Refund Status for Federal and/or State

The following is a list of useful links for your convenience.

You can generally get information about your federal refund 72 hours after IRS acknowledges receipt of your e-filed return, or three to four weeks after mailing a paper return.

You'll need to provide the following information from your tax return:

  • Your Social Security Number (or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number)
  • Your Filing Status
  • The exact whole dollar amount of your refund

You can get information about your state refund information 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The refund information is updated daily. Please wait at least 24 hours before inquiring again.

You will need the following:

  • Social security number
  • Whole dollar amount of expected refund

Unemployment compensation is taxable income and must be reported each year even if you have repaid some or all of the benefits received.

You should use the same PIN that you used to certify or inquire on your unemployment claim to access your Form 1099-G.
